100mb of data for most people should be plenty, especially if you spend the bulk of your days connected to wifi. 35,000 in Korean money translates to roughly US$30, and it’s important to note that in Korea you don’t pay for incoming calls so the 150 minutes is actually bigger than it sounds.

The handset is now expected to arrive in a matter of weeks, perhaps before the end of the month. Service providers KT Corp. and SK Telecom Co. have reportedly been in talks with Apple to sell the iPhone on their networks.

Isn’t that what we’ve been hearing since August? Yeah, it is. AI is just regurgitating AP’s report of the same, but AP also says “South Korea’s telecommunications regulator cleared the way Wednesday for the launch of Apple’s iPhone”… so I guess that’s actually news, so maybe it’s for real this time.

Still, I’m skeptical. I’ll believe it when I see it!!

That’s the email I got in response to my email to Pepsi which alerted them to my AMP UP review.

AMP UP Before You(r) Score was actually a good app! Unfortunately the idiots at Pepsi packaged it in entirely the wrong way, and I swear it wouldn’t have drawn all that bad press if they’d gone and made an equally sexist app for women who want to “score” with guys. If they’d done that, at least they could have played it off as an equal opportunity joke.

#1 app in Entertainment! Did iPhone App Reviews.net do this? Hmm...

…a few days after the codes were published to your site, Animation Creator is now featured in “What’s Hot!”, is [now] top 10 in entertainment, and is #62 over-all!

That’s from Red Software, maker of Animation Creator after I posted 40 codes that they provided for IAR’s free promo code giveaways.

Was Animation Creator’s sudden jump in status a direct result of giving out the codes? I can’t say for certain, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt.

I just posted 30 more codes for the same app, and hopefully Red Software will let me know if their App Store rankings improve at all.

I finally found something from Associated Press that says something fairly definitive: “Apple is set to officially begin selling iPhones in China on Oct. 30 and has plans to launch in South Korea during this quarter as well.”

Come on people, make it happen!! I’ve lived in Korea and they’ve got some pretty cool cell phones over there, but I have yet to see anything that can compete with the almighty iPhone.

Lots of people will call Pepsi’s Before You Score app sexist (and lots have, which is why it may get pulled from the App Store), but I gotta applaud Pepsi for taking a risk! They came up with some funny stuff and packaged it the wrong way… oh well.

What if they’d released an app that did the exact same thing for women looking to “score” with guys? Wanna pick up a frat boy, study up on sports both real and fantasy. Prefer geeky loners? Play some Starcraft and learn how totally pwn on BGH and Lost Temple. Yeah, I kind of doubt it would have raised a single eyebrow.

• Keyboard lag is worse

When the screenshot problem first came up I figured it was just a one-time thing. I would do a screenshot, the screen would flash and I’d get the camera noise, and the thumbnail would even show up before tapping on Camera Roll, but when I actually went into the camera roll there would be no screenshot.

I fixed this by doing a full reinstall of everything on my iPhone.

Pain. In. My Ass.

Then everything was great… UNTIL TODAY. Same problem just came back.

For most people this isn’t a big deal, but I’m constantly doing screenshots of apps for iPhone App Reviews.net so for me this is a big deal and it needs to be fixed.

Ok, what the hell… I’ll throw in a link to the Phonefingers website, but if I actually see anyone wearing these finger condoms it’s gonna be really hard to resist punching that guy in the face! And yes, it will be a guy. I’m pretty sure these things also double as woman-repellers.

The iPhone’s first hurdle in South Korea was a software requirement called WIPI which was finally lifted, and since then the country’s largest wireless carriers have been too busy wacking off to get a deal done. Ehhh ok maybe they weren’t actually wacking off, more likely they were probably trying to sucker Apple into some idiotic deal that would limit or cut off App Store and wifi access, but I’m sure those discussions ended with a lot of soju, noraebang, hookers, and ultimately a little wacking of some kind.

So anywaaaaayyy… it looks like the wait is finally coming to an end!

This is coming from a MacDailyNews article published just a week ago. While I wouldn’t hold my breath for August… I’m assuming it’ll get delayed for some reason because that’s just how the tech world seems to operate… it’s awesome news to finally be hearing. Koreans have been pining for the iPhone forever, and opening the market to a country where nearly everyone has a cell phone can mean nothing but good things for everyone in the iPhone biz.
